About

A permanent home for the business you built.

We are operators who acquire owner-managed firms across Europe and hold them — for keeps. No fund life, no forced exit, no flip. The business gets the backbone of a larger group around it.

Leadership

Founded and led by operators.

A real business is a profitable business — built to be kept, and made a little better every year.

What we are

Built around one idea: ownership without an end date.

Most institutional capital in Europe is built to buy companies and sell them again. Samhild is built to acquire well-run businesses, strengthen them, and keep them.

Our previous companies were backed by investors with the typical five-year horizon. The businesses we built ended up being sold — and then sold again, and again, passing through several hands over the years that followed.

Each time, something was lost. The continuity that owners had spent decades building was treated as a transferable asset rather than the heart of the business itself.

We wanted to build something permanent — a company that can continue to live on for generations, just like the businesses we acquire. Samhild is the answer to that: an open-ended owner with the patience to do right by the firms we take on, and the structure to make sure no one ever has to put them up for sale again.

Permanent capital. Operator-led team. Governance designed to keep good businesses, not to sell them.

The team

Operators, not financiers.

Samhild is run by a deliberately small central team — people who have built, run and handed over businesses themselves. If you sell to us, these are the people you will be dealing with.

01

Direct, owner-to-owner conversations

We do our own outreach. No brokers in front, no analyst running the first call. You speak with the people who will own the business afterwards.

02

Operators alongside management

After closing, we are in your business — not in a quarterly board pack. We help build the systems and shared services that make the work easier, while your management team keeps running things.

03

Built for the long haul

Capital structure, governance and reporting are designed for one thing: holding good businesses indefinitely. We are not optimising for a sale that is never going to happen.

Start the conversation

Selling once means choosing carefully.

We'd rather meet five years before a transaction than five months. Reach out whenever the question of what comes next starts to take shape — there is no wrong moment.
